TikTok and Ticketmaster's collaboration, initially launched in the United States in August 2022, is now extending to 20 additional countries. This partnership enables TikTok users to seamlessly discover and purchase tickets for various events without leaving the app.
Available in countries including the UK, Ireland, Australia, Germany, France, Canada, Mexico, and several others across Europe, this feature empowers artists in these regions to promote their live shows directly on TikTok. They can attach Ticketmaster event links to their videos, enhancing fan engagement.
The feature has been instrumental in successful ticket sales for both emerging and renowned artists like Niall Horan and Shania Twain, with over 2.5 billion views on related videos since its initial trial phase.
Michael Kümmerle, TikTok’s Global Music Partnership Development Lead, emphasized the transformative impact of this feature on live event ticketing. He highlighted its potential in bridging artists and fans, benefiting artists at all career stages.
This TikTok-Ticketmaster alliance isn't unique; Ticketmaster has similar collaborations with Snapchat, YouTube, and Spotify, offering event discovery and personalized recommendations to a broader audience.
